Something New...
My wife and I recently came across a new restaurant/wine bar in Rancho Santa
Fe that offers a very unique experience.
As you all know, we are pretty big fans of wine, quality food and good company.
We are always on the lookout for something special and I'd like to take this opportunity
to introduce you to Decanter. Owner and sommelier, Jayson Knack,
provides a "casually elegant" atmosphere which we hope you will be able to experience.
Aside from the aesthetic appeal, one thing that distinguishes Decanter is that Jayson
offers 200 wines by the glass.
Jayson also hosts the Decanter Wine Academy on Wednesdays from
5:30pm – 6:30pm and we just attended the wine blending class. Jayson
does a great job keeping an objective approach when he is explaining things, which
really makes the information he provides meaningful to you. Rather
than focusing on his personal preferences, he teaches how wine is made and how to
evaluate high quality from low quality. His classes wonderfully balance practical
information with a fun, energetic and entertaining experience.
Jayson is seeking to bring a renewed sense of vitality and creativity to the community
