Hey everyone, Bernie and I found another great breakfast/lunch place...
Claire Allison and Terrie Boley just opened up a new breakfast and lunch restaurant
in Solana Beach. Bernie and I could walk there from the beach house,
but let's be honest, we won't. It's on Cedros North of Lomas Santa Fe.
The atmosphere is warm and friendly, the service is quick and the food is great,
but the distinguishing factor is the people. Every time Bernie
and I have been there I get a kick out of watching Claire standing in the kitchen,
giving every meal a quality check before it goes out. Claire, the co-founder, takes
a very hands-on approach to the business and once you meet her, you won't forget
her. She is absolutely beaming with joy and is so grateful
for everyone she comes across. In my opinion, that's the reason why the
restaurant has been so successful. The positivity permeates throughout the restaurant,
the employees and it even makes the food taste better.
Claire is very modest but she knows her stuff. She doesn't like to brag but she
came up with the recipe for Milton's "Multi-Grain Bread" and ran
the bakery for 12 years. Claire takes pride in selecting the best ingredients
so you can rest assured that your meats/dairy won't have any hormones and
the produce will be local and organic. Not to mention there is also an in-house
bakery where everything is made from scratch. But the best part is the bottom line;
the food tastes great and her prices are more than reasonable.
Claire's is bringing something special to the community and next time you have a
chance, stop in and grab a bite.
